Awaken the North is an international non-profit organization of Universalist Heathens, Norse Pagans, Ásatrúar, and like-minded individuals who have a desire to learn and grow in our faith, whom have come together in solidarity and frið to honor the Norse Pantheon.
We provide a safe space for those seekers of knowledge, whether the knowledge is to further your own divine walk with the Old Norse Gods, or to learn more academically about the religions and philosophies of the Viking Era Norse, i.e. their culture, their habits, their day to day lives. We accept people from all walks of life regardless of any differences. We embrace our own uniqueness and celebrate the uniqueness of others. With a strong Zero Hate tolerance, Awaken the North will not stand for racism, bigotry, or xenophobia of any kind. Our goal is to create a safe space for all, where we may learn, grow, and support each other on our spiritual walks through Heathenry. We are a Heathen organization, dedicated to the worship and veneration of the Old Gods.
Our Council: Together, we represent all aspects of life: young, old, straight, gay, transgender, non-binary, Pagan raised, and “reformed” Heathens with extensive Abrahamic backgrounds. We have a wide variety of perspectives from Heathens, Pagans, Druids, Witches, and eclectics! Our diversity is what makes us strong and allows us the opportunity to be exposed to other frames of mind, ideas, and world views. The main focus of Awaken the North is on learning, and building local communities, both online and off. We are not simply another online social club. We are toes-in-the-dirt, get our hands muddy, light a bonfire, dance around and praise the Gods coalition of local grass-roots organizations working on making the world a better place!

How can I help support Awaken the North?
Awaken the North is a family and we are dedicated to helping each other grow. The only way we are able to accomplish this is through the generous financial support of our members. Every single one of our Council, Chairs, and support staff are purely VOLUNTEERS. Not a single person benefits financially from any funds within Awaken the North. Even Beast, the Leader, doesn’t get a dime. All funds are directed back into Awaken the North to pay for the website, buy supplies, help support our members, etc.
