Aggression

signifies wind, bad weather is connected to dangerous and destructive forces and times of crisis.

Often in life, unexpected things happen that we are unable to foresee dark forces are set in motion and what we can do is accept a symbolic death so as to rebuild on top of the ruins. The card is tied to our darker side and aggression; we must know them in order to be able to control them.

Hagalaz helps us become aware of our deepest impulses and protects in moments of crisis and change. How do we deal with crises and distressing times? Do we fall victimized by an unfairly adverse destiny or do we think we are partially responsible for what happens? Hagalaz can signify a significant change. Important shifts are taking place for you. But we must dismantle the old to make room! We can’t always control our circumstances but we can control how we react to them. this is a good reminder to check in on YOURSELF and how you are reacting to your current situation.

Hail is a temporary phenomenon, starting and ending with water reminding us of transformation.

Hagalaz also reminds us of the chaos of natural forces, things that can not be controlled, in other words, “resistance is futile” You maybe being reminded that taking a new course or new approach to something will bring the purpose for change and chaos into focus. Think of it as a temporary disruption and not as an end-all
