Source Rune, Aug 17, 2022

Today we have pulled the blank rune, which I call the source Rune. The source Rune is actually a modern invention first seen in Ralph Blum’s Book of Runes in 1983. The following is my u.p.g. after much study, growth, and meditation.

The Source Rune is silence, the zero, the void of infinite possibility. The space between words, the breath before the speech. Its Tarot equivalent is the Fool—the sensation of empty space, the Hebrew letter Aleph, the most primordial form of the element of Air.

He kept it hidden so only true rune masters, and volvas could discover it for themselves and truly attain mastership over the runes. The easiest way to read it if the source rune does show up in divination is to speak to the person who’s receiving the read to do some major introspection and to focus on what could be told to them as it is not being revealed to you at this time. Always remember however to use your intuition in your reads and to let it guide you and your words.

Odin, the wise Teutonic god who introduced the runes to humanity, is bound to these stones. Connected with faith and trust, as well as with the acceptance of changes and with the belief that “everything has yet to be done”, the source rune reminds us that we will travel lighter if we learn to give up the need for control and instead have trust in others, in oneself and in the generosity of nature, which always knows how to surprise us.

I love how you explained this, especially the last paragraph. It really helped me understand the meaning better.
