THURISAZ By Eelje Oldfield, Acting Chancellor of Religious Studies Good morning! Today’s rune is Thurisaz. Today I feel like we are leaning a bit more towards the chaotic aspect of this rune, but hold tight, we will make it through. THURISAZ Meaning: “Thurses” or “Giants” Pronunciation: THUR-ee-sahz This rune can either represent the God Thor, the mighty defender, or the wild, chaotic Jotnar (giants). Seen as a continuation of the raw energy of Fehu and Uruz, Thurisaz represents more of the physical energy. While this rune can be used to heal, protect, and hallow (as Thor is also a God of fertility and regeneration), the rune can also represent a warning of aggression or destructive power (the natural, raw power of the Jotnar). Good luck and protection or a warning of destruction. A true warrior will know when to combine consciousness and wisdom with force. Keywords: Thor, chaos, the giants, trouble, conflicts, disputes, enthusiasm, breakthrough, temptation #runology #runes #Norsegods #Norsepagan #Norsepaganism #vikingculture #pagan #spiritual #divination #inspiration #runic #norse #heathen #heathensagainsthate #awakenthenorth #pagansofinstagram #norsepagansofinstagram #heathensofinstagram #goodvibes #runereading #runicwisdom #runemagick #ThurisazRune #runeoftheday #dailyrune #whatsyourrunetoday #runecommunity |
