On this day, December 7th, we remember the men and women who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor. We honor their sacrifice and recommit ourselves to working for a world where no one faces violence because of who they are or what they believe.
Veterans Day is also a day to reflect on the sacrifices that these individuals have made for our country. There are many ways to observe Veterans Day. Some people choose to attend veterans' events, while others choose to fly the flag or display a yellow ribbon in support of veterans. Some people also choose to donate to veteran organizations or write letters of thanks to veterans. However, you choose to observe Veterans Day, remember to take a moment to honor the men and women who have served our country.
To my fellow jarheads, happy 247th birthday. We have cake, good food, a sexy uniform, and a few good drinks, we don't need the crayons today!
