As with any entity, especially a worldwide organization, people’s lives change, needs and abilities change, it is all part of growing! The council of AtN is no different.
So as time changes and people grow we find ourselves shifting positions and recruiting new members to take on the roles of those who have chosen to take time for other ventures.
A Chancellor’s position is an important role and includes one vote on major matters. It is a volunteer position and is equivalent to accepting a part-time job and needs to be treated as such. If you find yourself with the time and energy to assist your community please look at the available positions posted below and consider yourself for one of them. You will need to fill out the application completely and then all applications will be reviewed and voted upon!

COMA- Chancellor of member affairs
We find ourselves looking for a Chancellor of Member Affairs (CoMA). Our amazing Anja has decided that for her own personal reasons she will no longer be able to give this role what it truly needs. Her contributions to AtN have been significant and her shoes will be difficult to fill!
What does the CoMA do?
This is full Chancellorship with one vote on the council.
The CoMA, and their designees, develop and maintain the membership application process. The CoMA maintains member information and ensures that Awaken the North follows all applicable privacy laws and AtN policies. The CoMA, and their designees, reviews all applications and approves or rejects applicants based on criteria set by these bylaws and the Code of Conduct. The CoMA maintains a member directory that can be used for any verification of members Awaken the North may need. The CoMA, and their designees, is the onboarding contact for all new members and handles issues, concerns, and/or problems members and applicants may have with membership-related items. The CoMA is active in public-facing venues, such as social media, and is open to the members.
The CoMA watches the front gate to ensure that those who want to enter are the ones we want to have in our spaces. They also actively recruit new members by interacting in the public spaces – Discord and Facebook – to promote the transition from guest to member.

CoMP– Chancellor of the Emissary Program
We find ourselves in need of a new Chancellor of the Emissary Program. We thank Finn for the work he had done, but he has decided to step down and slide over into the Chair of TikTok position.
We are looking for a replacement! his is a very important Council position, which does need some time and attention. If you feel you are qualified and able to fill this position, please read the following, and then go fill out an application!
5.2.1. The Council shall have general management of the business and affairs of Awaken the North.
5.2.2. The Council is the supreme authority in the organization and may override the decisions, policies, and practices of any groups within Awaken the North, except that which is voted in by the membership in a general election or vote.
5.3.4. Chancellor of the Emissary Program (CoEP) is a member of the council and has one vote
5.3.4.1. CoEP, and their designees, operate the outreach programs with the purpose of promoting real-world, grassroots-style, community building. The CoEP, and their designees, develop and maintain the training program for Emissaries. The Emissaries are the volunteer members who work within their local area communities by holding open, inclusive events and attending local and area general pagan programs. Emissaries are the outreaching arm of Awaken the North to promote frith and bring new members to Awaken the North. The CoEP is active in public-facing venues, such as social media, and is open to the membership.
The Chancellor will be required to keep the active Emissaries active, coordinate activities, file monthly reports, participate in Council meetings, facilitate Emissary training, and be the main point of contact for all Emissaries and Leads across the globe.
CotT – Chancellor of the Treasury
We are currently in need of a new Treasurer for Awaken the North. Please read the duties below, and if you feel you are qualified for such, go fill out an application!
The Chancellor of the Treasury (CotT) is a member of the Council and has one vote.
The CotT serves as the treasurer for legal matters. CotT is in charge of the finances, tax concerns, and bookkeeping, and is the authority on all matters financial. The CotT keeps the Council updated on the financial situation of Awaken the North and ensures that AtN is compliant with all applicable tax laws. The CotT is active in forward-facing venues, such as social media, and is open to the membership for questions and concerns. The CotT is required to attend each monthly meeting, or if unable to, will have a Chair fully briefed and ready to present to the Council the monthly report from the CotT. The CotT must be a member in good standing within Awaken the North.
