The Public Universal Friend: an 18th Century Nonbinary Minister

As we all know, throughout history many have pressed past the bounds of gender expectations. The Public Universal Friend was an Agender Person in modern lens that was a Minister. As a Minister, The Friend fought for Civil Rights from the 1780s until their death in 1819. They were a staunch abolitionist and fought for Women’s Rights before many others did. We, to this day, still remember The Friend. May They continue to be a source of freedom.
