~ Five fun facts about Sol ~

• Guitar player for over 30 years. Come from a family of musicians. Just about everyone on both sides play something or sing.

• Film fanatic, I’m completely and utterly obsessed with film. There’s some I’ve seen hundreds of times; I should’ve done something with that.

• I’ve been a practicing pagan for over 30 years, with formal training as a Buddhist lay priest. I’ve been strictly Heathen for the last 10.

• I know more about Star Wars than George Lucas probably does.

• I’m a big, old, anime loving, history buff, video gaming, horror movie addict, music obsessed freak of nature that loves learning and discovering new things about all the above.

~ Sol what brought you to Awaken the North ~

Man, that’s a good one. I vaguely remember the hashtag when it was trending. Then I stayed away from most socials for a bit and stumbled across it again and just engorged myself in it. As a solitary practitioner for my entire journey, I’ve always had a longing for community. I’ve found it.

~ How did you become the Chancellor of the Emissary Program ~

Well, like I said, I engorged myself in this the day I re-discovered it. I saw there was an opening and went for it. In all honesty, I think it was fated. I feel like I’m finally home.

~ What do you plan to bring to the members of Awaken the North~

Hopefully that same sense of belonging. A place they can truly feel like they can just let it all out and be who they are and feel confident and safe knowing that no one is going to judge them on that. I believe it’s important to have community as a heathen, even if it’s virtual. It can be a great place of peace and comfort.
