Awaken the North is working on creating a new module for Scouting. This will be a Pagan/Heathen based alternative to the “Duty to God” module required by Scouts BSA. This module will also be available non-Scouters, and a great project for homeschoolers and those with kids who just want to learn more! At this time, we are simply conducting a head count for how many would be interested in participating. Please go fill out this form!

Heathen Kids in Scouts BSA

Are you a Heathen parent looking for a way to incorporate your faith into your child’s Scouting experience? At Awaken the North, we believe that Scouting can be a wonderful opportunity for Heathen children to learn valuable skills, develop leadership qualities, and connect with nature.
We are committed to providing support and resources to Heathen families involved in Scouts BSA. One of our key initiatives is the development of alternative Duty to God awards that align with Heathen values and beliefs.
The Way of the Wolf and Raven is a Heathen-inspired alternative to the traditional Cub Scout Duty to God award. This program focuses on the importance of family, community, and connection to the natural world.
For Scouts BSA, we offer The Way of the Hawk and Boar, a Heathen alternative to the Duty to God Heathen option. This program emphasizes personal growth, leadership, and service to others.
Would you like to learn more about these programs and how they can benefit your child? Please fill out the form below to receive additional information and resources.
We look forward to hearing from you!

How can I help support Awaken the North?

Awaken the North is a family and we are dedicated to helping each other grow. The only way we are able to accomplish this is through the generous financial support of our members. Every single one of our Council, Chairs, and support staff are purely VOLUNTEERS. Not a single person benefits financially from any funds within Awaken the North. Even Beast, the Leader, doesn’t get a dime. All funds are directed back into Awaken the North to pay for the website, buy supplies, help support our members, etc.

We are so very, VERY grateful to our members who help support us! If you are looking for ways to help Awaken the North, please see the options below.
