Welcome to the Awaken the North's Goðar Training Program Application process.

To get started, please take a moment and reflect, as well as gather any resources you might need. In this application, you will be asked for 3 personal as well as 2 professional references, and to submit a 750 word essay for admission. We recommend writing the essay before beginning this process. You will have the ability to save your progress if you need to leave the page. In the essay, we want you to tell us what being a Goðar means to you, and what you hope to be able to provide to the public as such. What are your reasons for wanting to become a Goðar? How do you plan to implement that in your local community? At the conclusion, there will be a non-refundable $10 application fee payable through PayPal.

What to expect...

This application process is an in-depth interview into who you are, as a person. It asks a lot of questions to help us determine if you would be a good fit as a candidate for the Goðar program here at Awaken the North. Our clergy training is not something that is to be taken lightly, or on a whim. This is an in-depth course, with many responsibilities required during and after ordination. Once completed and pass a Board of Review, you will have all of the legal rights and requirements of an officially ordained clergy member within the United States of America. The training course is not free. There is cost associated with this. You may choose to pay in full up front, at $250, or 12 monthly payments of $25. Once funds are rendered, refunds are not available, in part or in whole. Please fill out the information honestly, and in it's entirety.
