So, I was sitting here trying to figure out what angle I wanted to approach this week’s Thursday Thor post. It easy to talk about the different area’s he is more commonly associated with, such as strength and protection, or even hallowing.
But what else? Those seem almost too easy. I personally associate him with powering through trying situations. Thor is not who most people think of when talking about cunning and detailed plans. Not to say that he is dumb, it’s just that his default is to solve problems via might over mind.
One of my favorite stories is his retrieval of Mjolnir. While yes, he employed some wit to get to his trusty weapon… as soon as he had it in hand, all pretense was cast aside, and he started swinging. The point of all this is to say: sometimes it’s best to not over think, and just power through a situation. And in those times, Thor is who I turn to.
With that in mind, let’s see those hammers! This is my “dressier” option, for when I want to get all dolled up!
