Howdy there follow Heathens! Another offering in my series to honor Tyr on Tyrsday. I want us to consider commitments. Those we make and those are made to us. We know that Tyr made the commitment to Fenris to trade his hand/arm if the deities did not release Fenris from the binds. Tyr was aware that Fenris was not going to be released which, in my opinion, makes him keeping that commitment even that much more great. He understood that by following through with his commitment he would be giving up an important aspect of his identity. He knew that his sacrifice was for the greater good.
How do you perceive those commitments you have made? Do you always strive to keep your commitments?
