A beautiful Frigg’s day my friends!! Todays rune is Hagalaz….yes, Hagalaz. I suppose this comes as no surprise. In fact, at this point, I’m not sure I’d be shocked to hear Gjallarhorn blast across the skies of Midgard signaling the beginning of Ragnarok. However, I feel aggression here, and not in a negative manner. As in, I’m letting out those anxieties, fears, anger through the proper channels and letting it glow into my creations and works. This, for me, is a very good thing. We spend so much time bottling things up that we can forget what positively releasing that energy does to us.
HAGALAZ
PRONUNCIATION: hah-ga-lahz
Hailstorms, and aggression, signifies wind and d weather are connected to dangerous and destructive forces and times of crisis.
Hail is a temporary phenomenon, starting and ending with water reminding us of transformation.
Hagalaz also reminds us of the chaos of natural forces, things that cannot be controlled, in other words, “resistance is futile” You maybe being reminded that taking a new course or new approach to something will bring the purpose for change and chaos into focus. Think of it as a temporary disruption and not as an end-all.
Magical uses: protection, luck, success in navigating difficult situations, breaking unhealthy patterns.
