Good Tyr’s day!! Todays rune is Maðr. We know this is the rune of man, humanity, and mankind. But it brings immediately to mind a reading I did recently, actually, for myself, and the continuity of one’s ancestors. Not just those of the past but those of the future, all connected by the fates. This give me something to ponder throughout the day.
ᛘ maðr (“man”). The rune of the first man Mannus. The rune of planning, intelligence, and awareness. The rune symbolizes the continuity of the family.
Sound: “m”
Meaning: This rune stands not only for humankind but also represents the mythical “first man,” Mannus (or Mannaz). Since it represents humankind, it symbolizes the continuity of the family and clan.
