Today is the start of Ally week, which is typically a youth-led effort that started in 2008. It encourages students to be allies with the LGBTQIA2S members. Allies stand against bullying, harrassment and name-calling of the LGBTQIA2S community. The goal of this week is to diminish the stereotypes and exclusion while highlighting the ones that support LGBTQIA2S students to help make sure the students support is stronger than the students possibly thought had existed.
